Alright Tony, I'm Nick from Huyton near Liverpool. Gotta say great podcast first of all, podcast 100 was quality. Me and a few mates have started our own dance night in St. Helens called Skana, playing electro, techno and most importantly drum n bass once a month in Bar Fluid, its going really well, with our 3rd night being 23rd Jan. There are literally no drum n bass nights in St Helens, and even if you go into Liverpool they are few and far between. My new years resolution is to establish our night and bring drum n bass to the masses in the northwest. We are hoping to bring in someone like yourself to headline one of our nights in the coming months.

Keep up the good work, and if you read this out could you give a shout out to Paul and John and check out Skana @ Fluid on facebook.

Thanks
Nick

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

My New Years Resolutions,

1. Stop using SKOAL. (no, not
an illigal drug) just tabacco.

G'Day Tony!

First time, long time! - since podcast 53 actually.

Before I start, really, really loved podcasts 100 and 101!!!!

Also, LE @ The Esby in Melbourne 2009 was off the freaking hook!!!!!

I gotta say, great podcast, but i'm sick of people saying that your radio show has got them "through some hard times" – toughen up people!! For fucks sake, really?; its a radio show not a spiritual healing seminar!!!!

Please don't dismiss me as a hater however, I love the show and the tunes you play, but i do have some suggestions:

Please let Riley say a word, we have heard all about him , even about his ill fated single, but still no voice as yet..? why? he is obviously important to the label. I think letting him have a word would further “humanise” the Hospital camp.

How about a word or two about live dnb nights - i'm talking about those of us that can't attend Hospitality because we're geographically challenged - and how about touching on this issue -> drugs in dance music! I dare you to touch that one!! How about some support for the sober ones amongst us!?! My favourite night of 2009 was catching Brookes Brothers and Danny Byrd in Melbourne, starting at 3AM! WTF!?! That’s a lot of Red Bull!!!

Another issue i think your listeners would be interest in: soundproofing. What lover of drum and bass music doesn't have the problem of angry neighbours, and/or spouses? I have both and the sub basslines that make this genre so enjoyable also make my life difficult... some tips would help!

A bit of constructive criticism for you Tony, I’m harsh because I care...

Congratulations on your second born.

Much love and respect!

Marcus in Australia.
