being an Australian i had always been a Vegemite fan, then i met a crazy boy named charlie from Ely in the UK. a year later and a few supply packages of Marmite later from his lovely mum has changed that!
The first DnB tune i ever heard was Just once Second by London Elecktricity - my new “love interest” had played it to me over his i-pod. a few weeks later he leant me his i-pod for a month so i could listen to all the different DnB artists and their styles. and for that i am eternally grateful because my life has changed for the better, i cant imagine it without the creativity and passion of DnB. it is an inspiration.

The podcasts were the main reason i got into dnb, one of the first songs i heard was the dillinja remix of different drum.
Before then i was embroiled in the whole cheesy pop scene, also being a marmite hater at the time, preferring other sweet spreads on my toast in the morning.
Through the podcasts, I have now been converted to the wonderful world that is drum and bass, and have also discovered how lovely marmite actually is on toasts, just by growing up.
So voting for spread the love emulatated my conversion of tastes (sorry) to loving drum and bass and marmite.

I voted hate coz Marmite brings back both unpleasant and painful memories from my school days.
Whilst a junior me and my peers would be made to stand with arms outstretched ,with two huge industrial sized tubs of this evil black goo in each hand. If we lowered or wavered our arms in the slightest we received a swift one inch punch right in the spleen or kidney! Those older lads told us it was character building. Bollox was it!
Other guys would have Marmite eating competitions which involved laying it literally inches thick on toast and then trying to scoff it down before the other. It was seriously hanging, some dudes could not even close their mouths properly because it was so stuck together with this gunk!
I am deeply traumatized by these events. I need SICK tunes to sooth my soul!

From the day I was born I have been somewhat a marmite fanatic. I would draw pictures of marmite throughout my school days, and my best friend was a marmite jar who I would converse with about politics. He was a good lad, who went under the name of Martin.
Martin was never popular. Just because he was different and happened to look similar to gooey shit, I witnessed the bullying aimed towards him. “Oit you, are you gonna bang?” they would request in knowing that the answer would be no. The day the bullies took off his lid and spread the remains of his organs around like some food product left me devastated.
Ever since, I have campaigned for marmite to be accepted as an equal. The love party MUST win this election, as I have found out that marmite jars have a soul too.

I voted FOR Marmite because I beleive it the most, incredible, and delightful tasting spread that the people on this earth have created. I remember when I was in grade 1, 2, 3, and until this day, whenever I stayed home from school because I didn’t feel well , my Mum used to ALWAYS give me Marmite on toast because it would magically make me feel better, and I still have it on my days off from school at the age of 16. It is the most exceptional flavor experiance anyone can or should enjoy. I continue to eat it in Australia, for experiancing that incredible feeling of enjoyment from this spread, just like when I finish off a DnB tune, or when iTunes updates me with downloading a new Hospital Records Podcast even though I am over the download limit for the month, the experiance of the taste and sensation of the spread has lifted me during times when I am tired, unmotivated, sad, sick, and hungry! Thank you Marmite for making my life a better place and THANK you London Elektricity for your motivation and effort to continue to make this exceptional podcast that gives me the experiance of listening to new styles of Drum and Bass, and thank you for giving me the first ever glance of liquid drum and bass when I was in Grade 5 and when you were in the band! I voted for marmite because although it tastes bad on toast, put it in with a bolognaise or any other saucy dish and the results are sublime.

I voted for marmite because, i really like it when i went to london a couple of years ago and tasted it for the first time, since then i never tasted that flavour again..here in portugal is hard to find it!
